I haven’t been particular good at keeping up with my aim of a post a day since the end of the 30 days of me challenge, part of the problem is I need to plan in advance what I’m going to write, otherwise it’ll never get done.
The other issue is that the next couple of weeks are hectic as I prepare to transition to my new job – November will (hopefully) be a much saner month.
So I’m proposing a new challenge, which I’m going to call 30 days of geek… for every day in November, I’m going to post something geeky and computer related. Maybe this will help balance out all the introspective stuff from the 30 days of me challenge that people had to suffer. ;-)
If you feel like joining me, please do! Post a comment to this article with your blog URL so others can find it easily and use the hashtag #30daysofgeek on social networks.

So that’s 30 days of geek, which I’ll be starting on the 1st of November, join in, it should be fun :-)
OK. I’m in.
I suspect it’ll be available from http://chris.neugebauer.id.au/tags/30daysofgeek when I start…
Ooops, try http://chris.neugebauer.id.au/tags/30-days-of-geek/
Interesting that the type of geekery referred to here is specifically computer/coding orientated. What about other types of geeks, hrmmm?
Correct, I’m an IT geek through and through. I think the questions would be very different if it was for general geekiness of any kind – eg cooking geek, sci-fi geek, knitting geek, etc, etc.
So it’s really 30 days of IT geekery, but then the hash tag would get too long. ;-)
Yes, but you’ve specialised even further, applying this to only computer programming IT geeks. Which I’m not, really. I may just post something on my blog nonetheless – I just doubt I’ll do all 30 days of it.
Damn good idea.
Mine will be at http://randomthoughts.co.nz/blog/?tag=/30daysofgeek
Be warned however, the M$ shill in me will be ever present in my answers :)
Awesome, looking forwards to reading it :-)
In. And post up: http://www.brad.net.nz/blog/2010/11/day-01-%E2%80%93-why-do-you-consider-yourself-a-geek-30daysofgeek/
I’ve started a bit late, but oh well.

Since I heard this from Jack, I’ll be starting even latter, however I think I’ll take a different approach to the challenge and perform it in a photo blog style. A few pictures each day, and maybe a bit of writing.
After some reflection, I have come up with this.
Jumping on the bandwagon a bit late, but here we go: http://danielfaulknor.com/?tag=30-days-of-geek
I’m In: http://dingfelder.wordpress.com
Jumping on the bandwagon, starting with http://simon.geek.nz/new-30-day-thingy/
I’m in! I’ve just modified the Open Source patch submitting items to a more mobiley feel :)
This sounds like something that’ll help keep me occupied for some of my work days… http://allthenoms.blogspot.com/2010/11/30-days-of-geek-day-0.html
better late than never? ;)
I blame Jack Scott and Michael Wheeler for getting me involved in this! http://blog.hamzahkhan.com/?p=111
